TEACH ENGLISH AND LEARN SCUBA DIVING This is an interesting opportunity for native English-speakers with experience teaching English in other countries. Atlantis Resort in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, the Philippines is looking for a part-time Business English Teacher. Your students will be our staff - all Filipinos with a good command of English already. The job is mostly for business correspondence skills. We currently have six of our staff attending class. We are looking for someone to commit to 3 months with FREE room and board at our resort in exchange for working with our employees on about 20% speaking, 80% writing. Hours of work will likely be from 1pm to 6pm, 6 days per week. Most of that time will be spent helping with business correspondence, and about 1 hour of that time per day may be devoted to standard classroom teaching. Diving courses can be done for only the cost of the course materials, which is an incredible deal. You could go from beginning diver to professional Divemaster and save thousands of dollars. A few things: This is an opportunity for someone to take a break for a few months in the Philippines and learn diving (or relax) in exchange for the work mentioned above. There will be incidentals that you will need to cover yourself like laundry, diving course materials (books, etc.), any diving equipment you'll want to purchase (none will be required), and the costs of going out and having fun while you are here. If you are an experienced English teacher with business-level writing and teaching skills, have some time and a little money saved up, are looking to take a break, and might be interested in learning to dive, you will be staying for free in the best resort in the area with the best cuisine, and learning diving in a world-class dive destination with the best Instructors around at only the cost of the books and materials.
