Situated in the stunning Malvern Hills, the Abbey College runs a three month long Summer School for adults, teens and children. Students receive English lessons until lunch, followed by an afternoon and evening of activities conducted on our vast campus. There are two excursions per week.

The Abbey College has a number of teaching posts available for this period. Teachers would be asked to teach 16 hours a week, supervise planned activities and escort the students on day trips. Residential posts are available. As with any summer school the work can be demanding, but you would be working as part of a close team, in an excellent environment, one of the reasons why we have so many members of staff returning year after year.

You will be working in a department that emphasizes professional development, workshops are held regularly and there are two highly experienced ADOS’ to help when required. A guideline syllabus is used throughout the course, and our teacher resources are excellent.

To be considered you should enjoy working closely with others, be enthusiastic, like working with children and teenagers, and have a minimum CELTA/TESOL certificate or equivalent. Flexible contracts ranging from 2 to 8 weeks are available. If teachers are currently working abroad, telephone interviews are available.
