Details:
Start of contract: mid October 2005

End of contract: mid June 2006

Teaching Load: 14 to 24 80-minute classes per week, Mon-Fri or Mon-Sat

Holidays: 01-02.11.05, 11-12.11.05, 23.12.05-01.01.06, 2-3 weeks of winter holidays (January or February), 13.04.06-17.04.06, 01-03.05.06, 15.06.06

Teacher Facilities: Free access to photocopiers, teaching materials library, video and audio facilities, and in some schools, computer and free internet acccess.

Class Information: Maximum fifteen students per class, from Beginner to Proficiency level. Adult classes usually aged 17-30.

Qualifications:
• Minimum BA in arts/humanities subject.
• TEFL, CELTA, DELTA or similar preferred.

Compensation:
Remuneration: Average monthly 2900-6000 zlotys net (c.480£-1000£ / c. 850$-1760$) per academic year depending on number of classes and branch.

Bonuses: Bi-semestral, individually worked out according to teachers' results

Accommodation: Furnished, individual flats close to the school found by employer

Medical Cover: State health insurance paid for by the school and adminstrative support when going to the doctor/dentist.

Work Permit: Paid for by the school

Visas: Full administrative support provided by the school

Profi-Lingua was established in 1991 and at the moment has 16 branches (Krakow, Wroclaw, Warszawa, Poznań, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Szczecin, Katowice, Sosnowiec, Gliwice, Zabrze, Tychy). The school concentrates on the teaching of languages with a heavy emphasis on speaking and conversational ability. It also prepares students for internationally recognised language exams.

All PROFI-LINGUA schools offer classes Monday to Friday beginning in the late afternoon and ending around 8.30/8.50 pm (and for some teachers Saturday 8.00 am – 2.30 pm). Each 80 minute class has a maximum of 15 students, usually under-graduates and young professionals aged between 18-35. Levels range from Beginner to Proficiency level, although the native-speakers usually teach only higher and Cambridge examination levels in partnership with a Polish teacher. Photocopying and audio-visual equipment is freely available and there is a teaching resources library in each branch. The contract runs from mid-October to mid-June.
