Anglophiles Academic is a private educational organisation. For over 30 years we have been arranging courses all over Britain and elsewhere for foreign students. Most of these students are French or Spanish, between 11 and 18 years old. They come to the UK to improve their English, enjoy a holiday, and deepen their appreciation of English life and lifestyle.

We seek enthusiastic and capable TEFL teachers who are Native English speakers to teach and supervise our groups of visiting overseas teenagers.

We run many different types of courses, almost all of which have an English language improvement element. Courses are in April, June, July and August 2006 and take place in the following centres:
Peterborough, King’s Lynn, Nottingham, Plymouth, Skegness, Bury, Doncaster, Stroud, Grantham, Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Portsmouth. To teach in these centres, tutors must live locally as accommodation is not provided.

We also run a residential programme (where food and accommodation is provided) in Skegness in the summer.

We are looking for tutors with a TEFL qualification such as CELTA or TESL, or those with a post-graduate teaching qualification. However, strong applicants without a TEFL qualification will be considered if they have significant experience of teaching English as a foreign language.

Tutors will follow guidelines laid out in a pre-course briefing. Teaching materials are provided but tutors are encouraged to use their own ideas and materials if suitable to the course.
Interviews and briefings will be held prior to all courses. These take place at various UK centres. Therefore, applicants must be available and in the UK before the course to attend these events.
