We are currently looking for an experienced EFL teacher for the Intermediate level. Classes are Monday to Friday mornings from 9.30am to 1.15pm. Students are adults, generally young people and from various countries.

Because classes are long, we are seeking a teacher who knows how to keep students interested and entertained. Courses are continuous and students may join and leave at any time, so teachers should have experience or understanding of non-linear teaching practices, and be prepared to design classes, using books of their own choice (provided by the school), which respond to the needs of the students.

Syllabuses are provided for each level, containing grammar, structures and general concerns which should be covered, but how this is done is left very much up to the individual teacher. Consequently, this position is perfect for teachers who like the chance to be creative and independent in their methods, and who enjoy using games and activities. Teachers at the college are also offered all the support they need in preparing and conducting classes.

The school is currently in the process of expanding and we expect to be hiring more teachers in the near future, so we welcome CVs at any time, aznd successful applicants who want to take on more classes will have the opportunity.

Teachers must have a university education, relevant TEFL qualification, experience and be able to provide verifiable references upon request. Teachers without either TEFL qualification or experience will be considered, but should submit written description of why they think this lack is unimportant (i.e. many years of experience may obviate the need for TEFL qualification).
