Istanbul Lisan Merkezi Fact Sheet

Leading Language School Chain:

* 6 centrally located branches throughout Istanbul
* Rent free, furnished accomodation in single room in a shared apartment within easy walking distance of the school, or rent allowance for own apartment paid
* Salary will be paid in Turkish Lira at the equivalent rate to the US dollar of $850-$1,000 based upon experience and qualifications (salary adjusted every four months to the dollar due to inflation)

Requirements:

* B.A. or B.S. degree wıth a TESOL or CELTA certificate. Native speakers or near perfect non-native speakers will be considered
* Visa and work permit arrangements to be made from home country in accordance wıth the Turkish Education Authority Administration

The School:

* Facilities: Air-conditioned classrooms, TV with video, computers with internet access available
* Class sizes: 8-14 students
* Resources: Supplementary books, Grammar books and videos, Computer lab
* Academic Management: English speaking management with staff meetings as necessary

The Job:

* 30 contract teaching hours
* One day off per week
* Over-time paid for agreed hours
* 4 weeks leave including national holidays

The Contract:
* Salary paid in Turkish Lira.
* Travel allowance of 400 USD paid upon completion of contract (overseas hires only)
* Contract duration for 12 months but 6 month contracts will also be considered
* Airport transfer to apartment upon arrival to Istanbul
* 8 weeks notice required from teachers
