ILCEA (International Linguistic and Cultural Exchange Association) are seeking three English teachers for our PROXILANGUE language schools in the stunning mountainous Jura region (east of France). Applicants must be native English speakers with an EU passport (or valid work permit) and valid driving licence.
Experience is not essential, but successful applicants must be dynamic, responsible and highly motivated individuals. You do not have to speak fluent French as our classes are completely in English. However, you will need to speak French or be strongly motivated to learn for your own practical living purposes and to integrate into the local community. Classes are delivered according to our communicative, oral-based method to small groups (usually 4-8 students) in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. You must be prepared to teach people of all ages (age 3 to adult) and all levels of English, some positions will involve teaching business English.
Applicants need to be aware that these positions involve living and working in small towns and need to take this into consideration when applying.
Applicants must be available to start immediately (November) and contracts run until the end of June 2005.
The working week is 25 hours (20 hours of teaching, 5 hours for preparation), Monday to Friday and classes are normally in the evenings. Wages are 1100 euros (gross) a month.
