Required: 3 English Teachers for a Public Elementary School

Location: Chang-dong station, North of Seoul

Start: 30th August

Students: Elementary school students.

Teaching Hours: 30 hours per week (full time). You will be teaching in the Public School from 12pm to 4pm, 5 times per week (20 hours total). You will also be required to teach additional 10 hours per week at an institute.

Salary: 2.0 - 2.3 million won, negotiable

Other Benefits: Competitive package, including housing, airfare, medical insurance & bonus payment at the end of the contract.
Visa: E2, Sponsored by the government

Housing: You will get fully sponsored shared housing. Single housing is also negotiable. The housing will be close to the school.

Curriculum and teaching materials: All teaching material will be provided. You will get one week of training starting from 30th of August, and begin the classes in September.

About the location

Although the Chang-dong station is 8 stops away from Hwehwa station, it is only 1 stop away from Nowon, one of the most vibrant areas of seoul. There are some pretty good hangouts for westerners in Nowon-gu (eg. Dragon Bar), as there are many teachers living in that area. Nowon-gu is one of the hot-spots for teaching English in seoul at the moment (because of the high concentration of schools and middle-class families with kids). The advantage of living there is that Nowon-gu is still a part of Seoul, and you also get the mountain views and fresher air than other the clogged up areas of Seoul.
