ESL teachers for Korea (Seoul, etc.)
Dear Job Seekers,

Thank you for your interest in teaching English in Korea. Every year, over 15,000 native English speakers come to Korea to teach English. Unfortunately, not all schools and agencies are reliable, though, and some teachers find themselves either working at a poor school where they are treated unfairly, or dealing with a disreputable agency that will tell them anything to get them to sign a contract.
Our goal at Korjob is to find and place teachers who have a professional attitude towards teaching English as a second language. We are there for our applicants every step of the way, -- from scheduling a telephone interview with a suitable school, contract negotiations, immigration requirements and flight reservations, to their eventual arrival in Korea and beyond. We maintain a strong relationship with our teachers and continue to aid and assist them during their stay in Korea. It is our dedication to our teachers that has helped make us perhaps the most trustworthy placement agency in Korea. Additionally, our agency is fully certified and registered with the government, which is not the case with the majority of other recruiting companies in Korea.

The general conditions for first-year teachers in Korea is:

- Approx. 1.9-2.1 million Korean won per month, depending on education and relative experience (for conversion to your country’s currency, please visit www.xe.com)
- Fully furnished housing -- either single or shared, depending on your preference -- close to one’s school
- One month’s bonus salary (severance pay) after completion of a one-year contract
- Monday-Friday schedule (approx. 30 hrs./week)
- A round-trip ticket to and from Korea
- Paid vacations and national holidays
- 50% medical insurance

Anyone interested is encouraged to send their resume, a recent photo, a passport photo-page scan, and a brief cover letter outlining why you would like to teach English in Korea, to (e-mail here). After receiving these, I will call you so we may discuss your plans further, and hopefully answer any questions or concerns you may have about working or living in Korea.

Sincerely,

Eoin Forbes
Head Recruiter
