2005 EPIK (English Program In Korea)

The EPIK is being implemented to improve the English speaking ability of Korean students and teachers, to develop cultural exchanges and to reform teaching methodologies in English as a mandate of globalization of Korea. In order to carry out this program, Korean Government is inviting English language instructors from English speaking countries.

1. Application Deadline
-June 10, 2005

2. Required Materials
-A Completed Application Form (including two passport sized photos)
-Personal Essay
-Medical Form (Self Evaluation) and an Official Medical Report
-Two Recommendation Letters
-Diploma and Transcript copies
-A Passport Copy
-Criminal Record

3. Eligibility
-Hold at least Bachelor's degree
-Have a good command of the English language (Native speaker)
-Have the ability and willingness to adopt the Korean culture and living

4. Remuneration & Benefits
-Monthly Salary(￦1,700,000-2,200,000) will be paid corresponding to the appropriate levels of employment)
-Airfare to Korea and return from Korea to your country
-Housing, Medical Insurance and Paid vacation
-Tax Exemption and Pension fund

5. Duties
-To conduct English conversational classes for Korean teachers and students
-To assist and/or jointly conduct English classes with a Korean teacher
and etc.
