This is Easy English Consulting, the recruiting company located in Seoul. As the main contractor for public schools in Gyeunggi-do (near Seoul), we have been spending much of our time advertising for public school positions starting in September but it’s also worth mentioning that we have a lot of other positions ongoing besides the public school positions starting at the end of the summer.

Our other positions generally come in two types: hagwons and embedded company positions. Hagwons are generally the same as most of the others one will find throughout the country; they pay 1.9 to 2.2 million won or so per month, generally go from 2pm to 8pm or some similar time schedule, and their locations and hours of work vary. We don’t list all of the positions we have on the site due to possible competition, so it might be worth it to send in your resume and photo even if there doesn’t seem to be a position on the board that you are looking for. Generally about 50% of our positions are advertised on the website: www.eze365.com.

The embedded company positions generally pay more (around 2.2 to 2.6 or rarely 3.0 a month) but are often located in quire the rural area. Companies like LG, Hyundai and POSCO will house a teacher either in an apartment within the company itself, or a building very close nearby. These positions require more education and experience than a hagwon, and though they pay more they are recommended for people who don’t mind living away from the city, or someone who has his/her own car or motorcycle. That can often make all the difference between a dreadfully boring year in the country and an exciting, riveting year…in the country.
