English Teachers Required for Language Institutes in South Korea.
We are always on the look out for good English teachers for Language Institutes all over South Korea. The working conditions at the schools we hire for are very good and have been personally checked out by us.

I’m a recruiter who recruits for schools in Korea, as well as the Korean government. We not only employ native English speaking foreigners but Koreans as well. If you have any questions regarding these positions or Korea in general please feel free to contact Michael Duffy at Duff Recruiting.

Below are the conditions for a standard, English teachers contract in South Korea. These conditions can vary slightly from school to school.

Salary
2.0 million won per month.

Bonus
Upon completion of the full one-year contract period, the Employee will be provided an additional bonus of one full months salary.

Period of Employment
Contract duration is for one-year, and is renewable upon mutual consent of the Employer and the Employee.

Working Hours
Classes will be held from Monday to Friday, approximately 30 hours per week with the possibility of some overtime. No Saturdays or Sundays.

Overtime
The overtime rate is 18,000 - 20,000won per hour.

Holidays
There are 13 to 15 Korean public holidays per year. The Employee is not required to work on these days and no deductions will be made from their monthly salary.
Paid Vacation Time: The Employee is permitted 6 days paid vacation in a year. 3 days for the Summer vacation period (August), 3 days for the Winter vacation period (February).

Airfare
The Employer will reimburse or supply (pay for) to the Employee an economy class, one-way ticket from their country of origin to the point of hire in Korea. At the completion of the contract, the Employer will supply (pay for) to the Employee an economy class, one-way ticket to their country of origin.

Housing
The Employer agrees to select, provide and pay for adequate and clean, air conditioned, furnished accommodations, living conditions and basic amenities. The Employee will be responsible for the cost of monthly expenses (utilities) for the accommodation provided by the Employer.

Medical Insurance
The Employer agrees to provide medical insurance for the Employee and further agrees to cover 50% of the cost. The Employee is responsible for the remaining 50% (as required by Korean Law). To be deducted equally from the first 3 months salary.

Sick Days
The Employee is allowed three (3) paid sick days per year.

Deductions
Each month, three point three percent (3.3%) will be deducted from the Employees monthly salary for income tax in accordance with Korean law. 50% of the annual cost of medical insurance will be deducted from the Employee's salary over the first three months of employment. No other deductions of any type whatsoever shall be deducted from the Employee's salary without prior consent from the Employee. The only exception is in the case of an employee missing a scheduled class. In that case 20,000won will be subtracted per class missed.

Required Documents
Current resume with references.
Original Degree and transcripts or copy of Degree and transcripts notarized by a Korean Embassy or consulate.
Copy of Identification page of passport.
6 passport sized, current photographs of yourself.
Date of Availability.
