A teacher is required, as soon as possible, for the Kyoung Nam Foreign Language Institute in downtown Masan. This position will be starting September 1st. This is a well-established institute founded in 1981 (www.kyungnam.co.kr). The working conditions at this school are very good and the owner of the school is very nice, trustworthy person. This position involves teaching adults with the possibility of some kids classes. Class sizes range from 7 to 12 students per class. Salary
1.9 million won per month.
Bonus
Upon completion of the full one-year contract period, the Employee will be provided an additional bonus of one full months salary.
Period of Employment
Contract duration is for one-year, and is renewable upon mutual consent of the Employer and the Employee.
Working Hours
Classes will be held from Monday to Friday, approximately 30 hours per week with the possibility of some overtime. No Saturdays or Sundays. It is a split shift position; Starting at 6:30am for 2 classes then from 6:00pm –10pm for the rest. When you’re not scheduled to teach it is your time to do as you wish.
Overtime
The overtime rate is 15,000won per hour; 20,000won per hour for company classes.
Holidays
There are 13 to 15 Korean public holidays per year. The Employee is not required to work on these days and no deductions will be made from their monthly salary.
Paid Vacation Time: The Employee is permitted 3 days paid vacation in a year
Airfare
The Employer will reimburse or supply (pay for) to the Employee an economy class, one-way ticket from their country of origin to the point of hire in Korea. At the completion of the contract, the Employer will supply (pay for) to the Employee an economy class, one-way ticket to their country of origin.
Housing
The Employer agrees to select, provide and pay for adequate, air-conditioned, clean, furnished accommodations, living conditions and basic amenities. The Employee will be responsible for the cost of monthly expenses (utilities) for the accommodation provided by the Employer.
Medical Insurance
The Employer agrees to provide medical insurance for the Employee and further agrees to cover 50% of the cost. The Employee is responsible for the remaining 50% (as required by Korean Law).
