Kindergarten/Elementary Teacher Wanted.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Start Date: February 15 – March 1, 2006

Salary: 2.1 million Korean Won per month
20,000 – 25,000 won overtime per class (depending on experience and credentials). Overtime work is at the discretion of the teacher

Apartment: Furnished (bed, TV, fridge, washing machine) 1 room studio, within 15 minutes from schools by bus.

Hours: 120 classes (40-50mins per class) per month.
5 days per week – No Saturday work.
7 block hours per day, maximum schedule (11am – 6pm, for example).

Students: Primarily Kindergarten students, some elementary age students.

Vacation: 2 full weeks, one in summer, one in winter

Airfare: Round trip airfare to and from the employee’s home country will be paid for - half in advance, half upon the completion of the contract.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must qualify for an E2 visa. The following is necessary:

3-4 year degree from an accredited university in an English speaking country (Australia, New Zealand, England, Cananda, USA);

sealed academic transcript from the applicants university;

passport from an English speaking country.

DETAILS

The teacher will work at our English Institute teaching English to kindergarten and some elementary students three days per week, and another, nearby kindergarten two days per week. Both work places will be legally arranged with immigration and recorded on the teacher’s work visa.

The school is in Bullodong, Incheon - about 50 minutes from Seoul by subway.

There is one native English speaker (me) at the school. I am renewing my contract this year.

Books and supplies are of course provided by the school. The school is stable. The owner runs the English institute and a kindergarten with enrollment of over 120 students next door. The Korean English teachers and director speak good English.
