Gangwon English Learning Center is a non-profit organization sponsored by the office of Gangwon-do education in Gangwon province. The Gangwon English Learning Center runs a full English immersion program for six grade elementary students and second grade middle school students. At this English seaside camp, you will have a great opportunity to teach English in a non-traditional learning environment with no textbooks but a lot of interesting activities, games and real-world experience stations like the airport, hospital and shopping center. Gangwon English Learning Center has a very nice and clean environment and an excellent view of the beach located by the east sea in Yangyang. This area has beautiful scenery such as the Seorak Mountain National Park. You can live in relaxing and refreshing atmosphere.

1. Qualifications
Hold at least a Bachelor's degree
Native English speaker
Have a good command of the English language
Have the ability and willingness to adapt to Korean culture and living
Prefer backgrounds in music, dance, drama, design, etc.
2.Starting date: beginning of March,2006
3.Salary:2.5~3.0 million won monthly
4.Accomodation :Single apartment for a single instructor, and an apartment with at least two bedrooms for a married instructor with his/her family. And also basic household goods will be provided by the employer. Utilities are not included and are the responsibility of the employee.
5.Transportation :Round trip air tickets from your home country to Korea will be provided.If your contract is renewed for the second year, round airfare to your home country will be offered.
6.Tax exemption :Employees with the exception of Canadians, shall be eligible for exemption from paying Korean income tax during the period of the first two years if he/she provides the following documents to the employer before the first payment of salary: 1)"Residence Certificate" issued by a competent authority of employee's resident country 2) “an Application for Tax Exemption" on non-resident's Korean source income provided under the Korean Tax Treaty. If employee has already worked more than two years in Korea, he/she shall not be eligible for tax exemption.
7. Vacation & Paid leave:
-A total of 14 days will be provided as official vacation days with agreement from your employer.
-An additional weeks vacation will be allotted if you recontract for another year.
8.Other attractions:
-A settlement allowance of 300,000 Korean won will be provided for the first year.
-Employer will contribute 50% towards medical insurance and pension fund.
