PUBLIC SCHOOL IN INCHEON - HIRING 2 TEACHERS

STARTING SALARY: 1.8 ~ 1.9 million won per month.

START DATE: Mid February 2006

southern part of Incheon City)

Name of School: (The school has over 100 years of history)

The school is located in Yonsoo, which is in Incheon.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Teaching conversational English full-time to children
elementary school. One-year contracts are being offered.

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 2 Positions (the school has 2 foreigners, but teachers
were placed by OkayKorea) We have exclusive right in hiring teachers for
BAKMUN Primary School. This will be our third year of hiring.

QUALIFICATIONS: NO Teaching experience necessary. BA or BS diploma holders
of any majors would be required. The English, education, child care majors
will be given higher preferences> Teaching certificates welcomed (CELTA,
TEFL, or TESOL certification. )

BENEFITS:
Free housing (single accommodations) severance pay (1 month salary); free
roundtrip airfare; Visa sponsorship (must be done prior to arrival);
overtime pay, if any; medical benefits (50/50 sharing with employer); and
about 20 days vacation days per year (excluding holidays) (Airport pickup
included)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1. Contracts requires about 100 hours of teaching per month. I really doubt
you will teach more than 80 hours. Our current teachers teach about 78-85
hours per month.
Vacation days are not set but it is obvious, a public school has more than
10 paid vacation. Hakwon only give 10 vacation days, but a public school
goes on a vacation for about 4 weeks in the summer and about 5-6 weeks in
the winter. Vacation days will be in between does period but preparation
time before and term and organizing your work at the end of the school term
will be required. That is why the vacation can not be set. But you will
surely get a lot of off days.
