YBM Sisa is Korea’s largest and oldest ESL Institute. ECC (English Center for Children) is one of its many subsidiaries that also include publishing, testing, and its education division. With YBM, you can always expect to get paid on time and in full directly by the head office in Seoul. Even if you work under your scheduled hours or the school you are teaching at is unprofitable, you will always be paid your base salary for the duration of your contract.

Remember that you will not be working for a small ‘mom and pop’ school that can go out of business at any time. You will be working at a school owned and managed by our company that has had over (US) $350 million in sales last year through all of its subsidiaries.

We have various positions at our company-owned ECC schools in Seoul, Bundang, Ilsan, Daejeon, and Daegu for late March starts as well as a part time position:

Late March:

Hwajeong ECC in the city of Ilsan on the subway line (orange line 3) close to Seoul.

Ssangmun ECC in northern Seoul in the popular Nowon area.

Seokchon ECC in southeastern Seoul close to Lotte World.

Yeongdeungpo ECC in western Seoul close to the famous Hongdae/Shinchon nightlife districts. Couples may also apply for this position.

Daegu ECC in the city of Daegu in an affluent neighborhood. Couples may also apply for this position.

Daejeon ECC in the city of Daejeon in an affluent neighborhood. We offer a Monday to Friday schedule with single housing.

Part-time:

Jookjeon ECC in the city of Bundang is seeking a part-time teacher for 3 months. We are located near Ori station on the Bundang line. It’s a Monday, Wednesday, Friday position and the pay is 18,000 won per 40 minute class teaching between 3:00 pm and 8:30 pm. No housing or airfare is provided.

This position is available for those with a minimum of a B.A./B.S. from an accredited university and passports from the following countries: Canada, U.S.A., the U.K, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa.

Benefits (for full-time positions)
-salary of 1.8-2.0 million won (depending on education and experience)
-guaranteed contracts; you will always be paid on time and in full by our head office in Seoul, regardless if you are under hours or if your school is unprofitable
-only 95 teaching hours a month (far less than our competitors who usually require 100-120 teaching hours a month)
-Overtime is 16,000-18,000 won per 40-minute class
