I am welcoming everybody who wants to apply for teaching at Mokdong LCI. It is very meaningful that people like yourself would become an English teacher in Korea. More than anything, you are going to be the teacher who shows the world to Korean kids, build up the relationship based on love and trust and who would be remembered by the children for the rest of their lives. LCI would like to support the teachers who want to share the goal of giving our children the most efficient and fastest English education. § About Mokdong City & LCI
- Mokdong is a safe and educational suburb.
- Mokdong has a convenient environment.(shopping, transportation and so on)
- Mokdong LCI was founded in 2000 and until now, over forty foreign teachers have worked here in this school and many of them have worked here over 3 years.
- Mokdong LCI has the best kindergarten curriculum and has received a prize twice from the Education Office.
- Ten native teachers and five professional Korean staff members are currently working at Mokdong LCI.

§ Qualification for New teachers
1) Native speaker only from North America
2) Enjoy working with kids
3) B.E. or B.A. in English / ESL or TESOL Certification / Teacher license in elementary or secondary school /teaching experience are preferred
4) Dedicated, enthusiastic, professional teacher
5) Outgoing, adaptive personality

§ Payment / Benefit
1) Monthly Payment
- Basic salary(2.5 million won/month) + Add payment(Depends on degree & teaching experience)
2) Housing
- Kids Club provides a single apartment.
- The apartments are within walking distance from the school.(less than 5 minutes)
- Fully furnished single apartment with Air-Conditioning/Heating, TV, VCR, refrigerator, gas stove, kitchen table, chairs, phone, washing machine, kitchenware and so on.
3) Health Insurance
- Kids Club will pay the monthly premium on behalf of the teacher.
- The health insurance take effect in case of hospital expenses (between $100 and $20,000)
4) Airfare
- Kids Club will issue the teacher with a one-way airfare ticket and upon successful completion of the one-year contract, Kids Club will supply the teacher with a one-way airfare ticket. (free of charge)
5) Severance Pay
- Upon successful completion of the one-year contract, Kids Club will pay the teacher a monthly basic salary as a severance pay.
6) Vacation
- 10 days paid vacation(summer/winter)

§ Working Conditions
- Class size : 10 students/ 1 class
- Age Group : Kindergarten, Elementary Students
- Office hours : 9:00AM~6:30PM
- School hours : 9:30AM~12:30PM/ 1:30PM~2:20PM/ 2:40PM~4:00PM/ 4:10PM~5:00PM/
5:10PM~6:00PM
- Prep time : 9:00AM~9:30AM/ 2:20PM~2:40PM/ 6:00PM~6:30PM
- Lunch time : 12:30PM~1:30PM
- Break time : 4:00PM~4:10PM/ 5:00PM~5:10PM
- Non-working Days : Every Saturday, Sunday and National holidays

I have worked for LCI Kids Club in Mokdong for 15 months now. Before that I taught at a different school for 2 years. Through my experiences I have dealt with, heard and seen many different kinds of private institutions. I believe that this Kids Club is an efficient, well-run private school which I have had no problems with, and more importantly, it is a workplace such as this where one can learn from a large variety of teaching experiences. With the American curriculum we use, it is easy to follow schedules and fun to teach. I would recommend this institution to those who have experience in Korea, and even for those just starting out teaching abroad!
