Teach in an Affluent Area of Daegu-June Start, Free Airfare Housing
Teach in an Affluent Area of Daegu for June Start

YBM-ECC is seeking a teacher to start in June with an end of May arrival at our company-owned Daegu ECC location.

Our academy is located in Maeho-dong in Daegu, Korea’s 3rd largest city (pop. 2.5 million). This area is an upper-middle class community. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and amazing scenery. We can see the Daegu World cup soccer stadium and are a 5-minute walk from Wal-Mart. The transportation here allows for quick and efficient travel to anywhere in Korea (Seoul is a bit over 3 hours away and Busan is a little over an hour away by normal train, but with the new bullet train it is now under 2 hours to Seoul and even closer to Busan). Our area has a large variety of Western restaurants as well as Korean ones too. There are an abundant amount of bakeries and cafes just steps from our academy. If you like to work out, our academy faces the Sports Complex.

Visit our website www.ybmecc.co.kr to get more information about our school. Click on ‘ECC Locations’ or ‘Pictures of ECC’, then ‘Daegu’, followed by ‘Daegu’. Also take a look at our policies and sample contract as well as the FAQ section.

Benefits:
-A competitive salary of 1.8-2.0 million won (depending on education and experience)
-Only 95 teaching hours a month (far less than our competitors who usually require 100-120 teaching hours or more a month)
-Overtime is 16,000-18,000 won per 40-minute class
-Prepaid return airfare from nearest major city of prospective teachers
-Rent-free furnished housing located near the school
-Guaranteed contracts; you will always be paid on time and in full by our head office in Seoul, regardless if you are under hours
-Korean medical coverage (you pay 2.2% and YBM pays 2.2%)
-Pension tax refund for Canadian and American teachers (you get 9% of your income back when you go back to your country)
-Year-end completion bonus (extra month salary)

In order to qualify for the E2 teaching visa you must:
1. Be a native English speaker.
2. Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited university.
3. Have in your possession or order from your university officially sealed academic transcripts.
4. Hold a valid passport from one of the following countries: Canada, U.S.A., the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa.

If you wish to be considered for this position, please forward your updated resume (in Word format) and a recent photo (preferably in JPG format) to YBM ECC’s HR Division:
