Positions offer the following salary and benefits as a standard contract: \1.9M-2.1M KRW/ month salary, bonus ( often called, severance pay, i.e., one month salary at the completion of the contract), Bachelor accommodation provided at no cost to the teacher, Round trip airfare provided, National health coverage (medical) is provided

With the above compensation package, applicants can save up to 1.4M-1.8M KRW/month and at the end of the contract, their savings amount to 18.7KRW-23.7KRW/year. In the past many North American recent university graduates benefited from teaching English in Korea. In 2004 about 23,000 North American worked as an ESL teacher according to Statistic Korea. Location: Changwon (3 positions)

Starting Date: June 23rd, August, and September

Type of Employment: Full-time

Working hours: 10:00-19:30, 6 hours per day

Total working hours in a month: 120 hours

Preparing time for class: one hour

Salary: 2.0 Million won

Severance pay: one month salary upon the successful completion of the contract

Type of housing offered: Single accommodation

Airfare: will be provided by school

Insurance: 50/50 split medical.

Paid vacation dates: 10 days including weekends

Paid sick leave: 3 days

No. of foreign / Korean teachers: five foreign teachers and ten Korean teachers

Number of student/ class and age: up to 10 students per class

Qualification

- A citizen/ passport holder of the following countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom or U.S.A.
- A Bachelor degree in any majors
- Any certifications related to teaching English as a second language are preferred
- ESL teaching experience preferred, but not required
