Hi there! I’m trying to find a replacement for when I leave my school Bucheon (just outside Seoul) in early January to return to studying. The school is small, so the atmosphere is really friendly. You’ll be the only foreign teacher, but the Korean teachers you’ll be working with are great! Classes are kindergarten in the morning (around 10:20 – 12:20) and elementary school in the afternoon (2 – 6:30, kids between 7 and 11). Class sizes are fairly small and range between 2 and 12. There are set books to work from, but you also have a lot of freedom to work out your own class plans and materials if you want. The apartment is shared with one of the Korean teachers. and is a 10-15 minute walk from the school (you can go home for lunch ), and a 10 minute bus ride from the closest subway station.

The contract is pretty standard, but for 30 hours teaching a week, the benefits are:
- salary: 1.9 million won/month
- accommodation paid for by the school (you pay utilities)
- return airfare
- severance pay of one month’s salary on completion of 12 months work
- full visa sponsorship
- school pays in part for medical insurance

Qualifiactions required
- must be an English native speaker
- must hold a university degree
- must hold a passport from a suitable country to qualify for E2 visa (US, Canada, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia or South Africa)
- previous experience and qualifications not necessary
- female teacher preferred

Starting date is 4 January 2004.
