Hi,

I am looking for a couple to replace my wife and I and to begin teaching on December 1st. The school is located in the rich area of Gangnam-gu and is very close to Apgujeong. It is the main office of a well established and reputable school owned by a former teacher that taught in the U.S. for 26 years.

The school uses several programs adopted from America such as Kindermusic and Hello Gym Dandy and has an excellent curriculum that is easy to follow and fun to teach. We teach only math, science, reading, Thematics, and Hello Gym Dandy. We teach just kindergarten so we finish everyday at 3pm. (No Saturdays) It is an excellent school and has a great atmosphere, very friendly co-workers. Basically, it is four 1 hour classes with an hour lunch in between. Lots of materials provided.

The apartment is great, we have 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, sitting room, bathroom, and a seperate laundry room, quite large by korean standards.(plus A/C). The pay is 2 - 2.1 million won, after tax, and there is a total of 4 weeks vacation plus korean holidays. No kidding, 2 weeks in the summer and 2 weeks in the winter.

On a personal note, this is our second year in Korea and we love it here at our school, very relaxed and great staff, we are treated very very nicely. We have taught at other schools, but this one is the best by far and we would love to stay, but we are expecting a baby in March, so we are headed back to Canada. This is an awesome school and great opportunity for another couple.
