Two ESL English Teachers
SITUAC is a developing college set in the new University City of Chang Qing, 40 minutes from Jinan the provincial capital of Shandong Province. The campus is only five years old set against twin hills and rural setting with cleaner air and more blue sky days than its busy neighbor, Jinan. Teachers have a choice to live in the quiet picturesque rural setting of Chang Qing or live in the busy provincial capital with all the usual amenities like western foods in supermarkets, bars, nightclubs and places of historic interest. A free bus service is provided to and from the Chang Qing campus, daily.
Jinan, not only a city of significant historic interest is close to other wonderful cities such as Qing Dao, sea side city to the 2008 Olympic games with a heavy German influence to its architecture. Qu Fu, birthplace of Confucius and Tai An home of the world famous Mt. Tai. Shandong has many places of interest and Jinan is only a matter of hours away by fast train or long distance bus.
The school has spacious, roomy airy classrooms giving teachers the ability of freedom and movement allowing for creativity, flair and imagination. First year students have a general English plan with the goal of increasing the student skill to enable them to complete international diplomas provided by an Australian college of TAFE. IELTS preparation is another important feature of the programme; many students will further their education in an Australian university and require the necessary study skills in order to do so.
2 English Teachers:
Bachelors Degree minimum qualification preferable in education or related discipline. Five years industry related experience plus a TESOL, CELTA or Trinity TESOL favoured.
Salary: RMB 6.000 + RMB 1,000 monthly performance bonus paid at the end of each semester providing all performance criteria are met.
All teachers will receive on arrival:
Free airport pick up.
Free hotel accommodation until suitable to the teacher accommodation is found.
Reimbursement of Visa and medical expenses.
Round trip reimbursement of air fares on completion of a one year contract.
One way reimbursement of air fare for a one semester contract.
Medical insurance
Paid: all Chinese holidays observed.
8 days holiday pay
8 days sick pay per semester not cumulative.
Orientation and translating assistance.
New Zealand Education Manager with three years service at this school.
