The Chinese New Year vacation this year starts on the 21st of January until the 26th.  All offices will be closed during this time.  Some schools will open on the 27th, but most of them will not be open until the start of the new semester, which is on February 1st. For a job that starts in January, you will need to be here on the first or second week of January so that we can have you settled down before the Chinese New Year break.
