Yimen Vocational Middle School is located in Yuxi prefecture in Yunnan, south to Kunming. Yuxi prefecture has 2.3 million inhabitants, of which two thirds are ethnic minorities.
The climate of Yuxi belongs to the subtropical semi-humid high plateau monsoon type. It is neither too hot in summer nor too cold in winter.
