Introduction:
We are a group of Chinese Americans who are starting training schools in various cities in China. Our mission is to re-train out of work Chinese with the necessary skills to go back to the workforce as well as provide a foundation to leap into the global economy with China joining the WTO. One of the most demanding areas of training is English and we are looking for fluent, native speaker teachers to join our schools. We have available positions in our schools and affiliates at Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, Tangshan, and Xian.

Description:
Xian is an ancient Chinese city that has been the capital of thirteen dynasties. It is also an academic city with numerous colleges and universities. It is filled with Chinese culture and there is so much to explore and you sure will enjoy the historical and academic atmosphere there.

Job Description:
Instructors will teach conversational English and Phonics to student of different age group. The school will provide lesson plan and teaching material. Student will be evaluated to ensure certain English proficiency before enrolling in class. Chinese speaking teaching assistant will also be there to help the instructors. Instructors will be responsible for student assessment, class preparation, teaching, and exam preparation.

Hours:
Instructors are expected to teach anytime between 9am – 10pm including weekends. Teaching hours are 22 hours per week with 2 days (weekday) off per week. More hours can be requested.

Student age group:
5-8, 9-12, 14 to adult.

Off days: Teaching hours are distributed among 5 days per week. Each teacher will be off 2 days a week.

Vacations: Teacher will be entitled to 10 earned vacation days per year.

Holidays: Teacher will be entitled to China public holidays that the school is closed.

Salary:
RMB 4000 (CAD 634) to 7000+ (CAD 1112) per month depending on experience, hours taught, and contract duration. Overtime pay is 1.5 times hourly rate (calculated from the monthly salary rate)

Bonus:
3000 RMB at the end of one-year contract.

Requirement:
• Air ticket: Paid one way air ticket and another one way ticket at the end of one year contract.
• TESL/TEFL/TESOL certificate
• Native speaker of English
• Enthusiastic, motivated and open to new experiences
• Flexible and willing to work with Chinese staffs of different culture background
• Charming, full of energy, and patient with students
• Degree or diploma a big plus but not essential
• Teaching experience, especially for children, is preferred
