Experienced kindergarten teachers wanted in Guangdong Province, China, a short train ride from Hong Kong. Applications from teaching couples are especially welcome.

Teach entirely in English. Live in a modern apartment near the kindergarten, with convenient access to shopping facilities. This is not a “hardship” post. If you have any successful overseas experience, you will adjust quickly, and can live comfortably. Whether or not you have overseas experience, you will find it interesting, challenging and rewarding.

Normal teaching schedule is limited to 16-20 hours per week. Professional development is provided, and includes Chinese language classes. Personal development is encouraged as well. You will have almost all weekends off, and will find many interesting activities and attractions within easy reach from the kindergarten. International travel is very convenient and affordable through Hong Kong or Shenzhen airports.

Salary depends on experience and qualifications, but in any case is generous for China, not only on the local economy, but in comparison to numerous English teaching jobs advertised for China. While the salary scale is not equal to that of North America, this is a job where you can live well by local standards, travel if you wish and save some money too, if you are able to save at home. Just don't expect to also pay any significant debts in the USA, such as car or mortgage.

Contracts are available for five months, ten months, one year or two years.
