School Introduction

Dongguan Ruoran New Century School is a private boarding school that was established by Dongguan New Century Science & Education Development Co. Ltd. in 1994. It was included in the first group of educational institutions to be named as a First Class Municipal Private School in Guangdong Province. Situated in the centre of the Dongguan-Shenzhen-Huizhou triangle, the school is advantageously located. As a result of its beautiful surroundings and architecture, the school was named by the government of Dongguan City a Garden-like Unit and a Green School. During the nine years of its operation, the school has continuously strived to achieve the highest levels of excellence. It has made outstanding achievements in education, teaching and research. It is one of the most prestigious schools in the area.
The school covers an area of more than 300,000 square metres, with a total floorage of over 100,000 square metres. It is made up of four divisions: the kindergarten, the primary, junior high and senior high schools. At present, more than 2,000 students are studying in more than 60 classes.
The school diligently follows the countrys education policy; it aims to train students to become well-rounded and future-oriented outstanding talents with a distinct individuality and social conscience. During the past nine years, the teaching quality has continued to improve, as a result of excellent teachers, small class size and opportunities for tutoring according to different levels. So far, more than 400 students have been placed first, second or third in competitions of all kinds hosted by educational departments at municipal, provincial and state levels. Meanwhile, the school five years of senior high graduates did extremely well in the National College Entrance Examinations, with 93% of them qualified to go on to institutions of higher learning, and more than 20% being accepted by key universities in China. Altogether, more than 300 graduates entered universities at home and abroad.
The education of Information Technology in New Century School is excellent, which granted the school with the title of A School with Conspicuous Feature in IT Education in Dongguan City There is a multi-media platform in every classroom, and the platforms are connected to the Internet via powerful school net. Students can study or search information on line freely. The school has also edited and printed a series of school textbooks entitled Information Technology (bilingual). On November 12th, the Bureau named the school the first First Class Private School in Dongguan City.
