Taiyuan Mercan School is currently looking for both summer and full-time teachers, and are planning to hire 5 full-time teachers that can commit to a contract of no less than 6 months, but preferably 12 months. PREREQUISITES FOR TEACHERS Full-time teachers need to: Be native English-speakers from any country where English is the primary language (not the primary second language). Have at least a Bachelor degree in any discipline. Have at least one year of formal teaching experience. Be suitable to teach all age groups, particularly children (ages 9 and older). Commit to a contract of no less than 6 months.Summer teachers need to: Be native English-speakers from any country where English is the primary language (not the primary second language). Have at least some teaching experience. Be suitable to teach all age groups, particularly children (ages 9 and older). Be able to teach for the duration of Taiyuan Mercan School's Summer Program from July 8 - September 1in each year. Confirm flight information and arrival date within 10 days of being offered a position and be in Taiyuan by July 5. Be at least 18 years old RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TEACHERS Full-time teachers will be required to: Teach up to 25 hours per week at the times required by Taiyuan Mercan School. Teach students of all ages and levels. Prepare high quality lessons for the students. Attend any scheduled meeting for teachers and staff. Participate in "English Corner", which is an English free-talk session that TMS holds once a week for local people to come practice their English with our foreign teachers. Summer teachers will be required to: Teach up to 12 hours per week at the times required by Taiyuan Mercan School. Teach students of all ages and levels. Prepare high quality lessons for the students. Attend any scheduled meeting for teachers and staff. Participate in "English Corner".
The positions are paid 7,000 Yuan per month with a schedule of teaching 25 hours per week. Overtime will be paid for those who want to work more than 25 hours. We have classes with children from age 6-18 and we also provide classes for working professionals. Mercan school will provide free furnished apartment, health insurance, and provides internet and computer.
