REQUIREMENTS
· Candidates must have recognized teaching English as a foreign language certification, like the EF Certificate in TEFL, which contains a minimum of 6 hours observed teaching practice (equivalent qualifications like Trinity Cert. TESOL or CELTA are also acceptable).
· EFL classroom experience is also desirable, but not essential. In some cases, extensive relevant TEFL experience can be considered in lieu of formal TEFL qualifications. Candidates should be motivated, enthusiastic and open to new experiences.
· Candidates not meeting the above requirements can take the EF Certificate in TEFL, a 4-week intensive course, which is available monthly in our Teacher Training Centres in Brighton and Manchester in the UK.

The EF Certificate in TEFL is an entry-level qualification for teachers of English as a foreign language and is your ticket to teach the world. It includes six hours of observed teaching practice and you will learn about the most up-to-date communicative language teaching techniques and have the opportunity to practice these with classes of young adult students under the supervision of our highly experienced team of trainers.

Whether you are a prospective teacher wishing to start your career teaching English overseas or wishing to spend a year or two living and working in non-English speaking countries - the EF Certificate in TEFL is the course for you.
Each Certificate course contains input sessions on seeking teaching positions overseas and a unique, exciting feature of our EF Certificate courses is that they offer the opportunity for you to sign up for a job with EF English First in China.
