Sichuan Tech and Voc College, is a third level institution the largest in the attractive city of Suining. The college is nearly a century old and low traditional buildings mix with the new age tower blocks on campus. The college retains its beautiful gardens and the teaching facilities are reasonably mixed standard but preference is given to foreign teachers to use the better classrooms.

The city itself is a standard Chinese city, its size and population having boomed since the Eighties with the farmers coming to live in the high rise’s to be workers in the shops and factories.
The city with a population of 700’000 is made a unique place for the geography of its location. Sited in a deep river plain, it spreads out in a long strip next to the big Fu river, a tributary of the Yangtze. The strip has the advantage of allowing clean air to flow easily through the city, the scenery of river, the mountains and the ease of access to pure Chinese countryside makes life much fresher than standard Chinese city living. The life is convenient and interesting, fresh food markets side up to Sichuan hot-pot restaraunts, karaoke bars and ancient temples.
There are three positions available in the college.

The class workload shall not extend above 12 hours
The salary is based on experience and qualification.
The range 3500-4000 is a fortune for this province and everything is possible with it.
Own housing provided to each new teacher, it is comfortable and of a decent size for one, or a couple the kitchen is equipped on Chinese lines but because of deliciousness of Chinese food and the restaurant culture you may find the kitchen lies idle, although cooking lessons can be found! The flat also has a broadband computer, TV with DVD player and Chinese cable connection. Gas, electricity, water are free.
College operate a small young learners (7-12) English tuition school on campus. (Class sizes about 25). A small number of hours agreed to work in this school along with other teaching raises salary range to 4000-5000.
Return Flight paid for in two stages - end of term one and term two.
City is two hours by bus to the major Chinese city Chengdu, a car collect teacher at that city's airport. Ever4y effort is made in the initial stages to help new teachers to settle in.
Twelve month contract, paid holidays amount to over four months.
Start date: any time in July-Sept for 12 month period

No office hours are to be worked, learning materials are provided by the school.
