2005 Best International English Village
One of this year’s summer programs will be held from the beginning of July to the beginning of August (about 30 days) 2005 in the Province of Zhejiang and in Shanghai.
Applicants for this program will be teaching high school and elementary student’s conversation/oral English as well as small amount of writing. The host schools will provide the curriculum and teaching materials. The applicant will teach 6 class period’s everyday (3 in the morning, 3 in the afternoon) from Monday to Saturday. Every class period is 45 minutes.
The foreign teachers will take turns participating in evening English activity sessions with the students. The sessions are held 2 nights per week. Activities include the English Corner, singing English songs, lectures, dress-ups and plays, and birthday celebrations, etc. The activities are less than two hours. The teachers do not work at Sundays.
The host schools offer:
1. A total stipend of 4000RMB (for teachers only, if they pay the air tickets by themselves).
2. Free Round-trip Air Tickets.
3. Free housing with air conditioner and bath.
4. Free Internet and computer access at school.
5. Transportation to and from the Shanghai airport upon the teacher’s arrival and departure.
6. Free local traveling and sightseeing around the teaching area on free time. (for those who choose to participate).
7. Basic medical support for colds, flu, stomachache, cuts, headaches, etc. at school in the nurse’s office.
8. Free meals.
Apart from processing applications and answering questions AAA also offers:
1. Helping applicants obtain low-priced airfare.
2. Helping applicants apply for their visa.
The application deadline for this program is: May 31, 2005 or until positions are full.
We’d need to receive all your documents by then. Those documents include:
1. AAA completed application form and $500 application fee (for visa, administration expenses and to ensure your commitment).
2. Current resume.
3. Copy of your Teacher’s Certificate.(for teachers only)
4. Copy of your Diploma.
5. Copy of your Passport.
When we designed this program, we designed it to be a convenient program. The teaching is one part. You are also welcome to bring your friends or family with you without participating in any teaching. We will help them to take trips in China, even live with you. The only thing is these should on your expense.
