Shanghai Industry & Commerce Foreign Languages College
Shanghai Industry & Commerce Foreign Languages College (SICFL) is a private college founded in April 2001 approved by the Shanghai Municipal Government and accredited by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. The SICFL campus is located in the southeast suburb of Shanghai, right between the Pudong International Airport and the new Shanghai International Voyage Center. SICFL is authorized to recruit students from within the State enrollment plan through the national college entrance examination. Upon their graduation after three years of successful study, SICFL students will receive associate-degree diplomas issued by the Ministry of Education, an official educational record acknowledged by the State authorities. SICFL is working to become a four-year college with bachelor’s degree programs in the near future.
SICFLC is proud of a strong faculty team of over 200 members, a spacious beautiful campus with over 120,000 sq meters of building area, first-class equipment and facilities, and a growing student body. (Currently we have over five thousand fulltime students.) In a recent inspection by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education, SICFL was ranked Number One among all private colleges in Shanghai.
“A foreign language + a practical major” is the distinctive feature of our programs. All SICFL students are required to grasp a foreign language through intensive training while working through their specialized non-language programs. We have four foreign language departments -- English, Japanese, German and French -- and we offer over twenty specialized programs, including accounting, business management, tourism and hospitality, logistics, office administration, applied computing, computer technology, mechanical and electronic engineering, etc.
