Hainan yuda Foreign language school is located in Haikou, the capital city of Hainan Province, a large tropical island off the southern coast of China. Located in the three main areas of the city, our school gives its primary focus to the teaching if English as a foreign language to children (6-16yrs).
The main emphasis of our teaching style is to encourange and improve our students spoken English and then to develop listening, reading and writing skills. Class sizes are kept to a minimum (15-20 students) to enable student participation. We follow a book system in the classroom combined with activities to encourage use of the English taught. Beginner and intermediate level students have a combination of both foreign and Chinese teachers, while more advanced classes are taught solely by foreign teachers.
Starting out in 1997, Yuda school holds a strong reputation for its quality of teaching and has rapidly expanded in size therefore creating these vacancies for experienced language English teachers.
Our current staff includes 4 foreign teacher, 3 Chinese English teachers and 4 office staff (1 of which speaks good English to ease communication within the school).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

* Monthly Salary: 5,000RMB (inclusive of airfare)
* Working Hours: 16 hours per week
* Working Days: Wednesday to Sunday (evenings during weekdays and day/evenings on weekends)
* Vacation: Regular vacation according to school timtetable. Approximately 35 days placed throughout the year - paid.
* Housing: Furnished apartment close to school (single and family apartments available)
* Contract Term: 12 months (open to renewal)
* Insurance: basic medical insurance provided
* Visa: Work permit (z visa) arranged by school.

REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT:

* Native English Speaker (American, British, Canadian or Australian)
* B.A or B.S degree (preference will be given to those with teaching qualifications)
* At least one years experience teaching children
* Preference will be given to those who have already taught in China.
* Good Health (Health certificate is required upon application of work permit)
