Full-time Teaching Positions (2) Penghu, Start ASAPLooking for some pristine beaches and chilled out locals? Looking for an island getaway far away from the traffic jams and dirty air? Come to Penghu! A beautiful archipelago to the west of Taiwan. Where tradition and culture are rich and ancient. The perfect place to learn Chinese and experience Taiwanese culture.
Geng Dou Bilingual Kindergarten/Buxiban is urgently seeking two full-time Foreign English teachers to start immediately. The positions particularly suit a couple, though individuals are very welcome to apply. Based on the immediacy of the positions applicants already in Taiwan will be given preference.
Salary is from 50 - 60,000NTD per month for 20 - 25 hours teaching per week, and is guaranteed. ARC is provided. There are no required office hours other than the time you need to complete your lesson plans each day. Students range from kindergarten age through to adults. The school currently has one Foreign teacher and four Taiwanese English teachers. The working environment is very friendly and co-operative.
Teachers applying for the position should be easy-going but also responsible, honest and hard-working, preferably with an interest in education. You not only need to be able to play games and have fun, but also teach grammar, conversation, reading and writing.
The school is located in the small seaside city of Magong, in Penghu. Magong is the largest city in the Penghu archipelago and you can find everything you need here. The locals are relaxed and friendly and it's a great place to immerse yourself in Taiwanese culture and language. Not only are Penghu's pristine beaches and rocky coasts fit for snorkeling, windsurfing, fishing, diving and more, it has scores of beautiful islands for you to visit.
There are many different restaurants, clothing shops and recreational facilities through out the city. Magong has one or two pubs so if you're looking for a place to booze up and party into the night, this may not be for you. Island life in Penghu is quiet and relaxed (though there are always things to do) with clean fresh air, far from the crazy polluted bustle of big Taiwanese cities. Though if you need your fix all major cities in Taiwan are a short flight away - so a weekend on the mainland is an easy option.
To apply for these positions please send a copy of your resume, a recent photo and cover letter explaining your interest in the job - and if in Taiwan your current visa status -
