WeiHai city Information:
WeiHai is located at the eastern point of Shandong province, it is known as the cleanest and safest city in China. It is famous for its cool weather in summer and beautiful beaches. Today visitors from all of China and the world are drawn to WeiHai for its golden coastline, Liugong Dao island and to catch the passenger ferry Korea.
Famous sight:
WeiHai international beach- Weihai international beach draws large crowds for its long stretches of golden sand, comparably clean water and large swimming area. There is a shallow swimming pool for children and a mini-amusement park. Showers and lockers are also available. Sleeping on the beach is an option with battered tents for hire for RMB100 per night. ( You will finish class about 4 o’clock every afternoon so you can go to swimming everyday if you are a big fan of the water)
Liugong Dao- Liugong Dao lies 5 km off the coast in the Weihai Gulf. The island was established as a stronghold during the Ming dynasty, to guard against Japanese pirates. Today the island’s main attraction is the Museum dedicated to the 1894-1895 sino-Japanese War.
