This has also increased the Universities international profile and has been conducive to academic exchange and cooperation. JXNU has sent more than 700 teachers to other countries and regions to attend international conferences and make cooperative research though which the university has kept abreast of international educational trends and broadened relationship channels. This has in no small part raised the universities fame and contributed to its ongoing attractiveness as a Mecca for business and investments.
For years this university has attracted donations and investment from Hong Kong and Taiwan entrepreneurs, including the Yu Scholarship established by Mr. Yu Yelu, the Xiong Scholarship established by Mr. Xiong Zhiming, educational scholarships established by Mr. Du Yuru and Normal Education scholarships established by the Gaoxiong Jiangxi Compatriots Education Association. Jiangxi province is a magnificent tourist destination, one soaked in a traditional atmosphere of unspoilt nature, scenery and culture that is unique in China. The famous Lushan mountain – both a summer resort and the of the major seats of both Buddhism and Daoism as well as the arena for some of the major decisions taken in 20 th century Chinese politics – is located in the province. The city of
Jingdezhen, world famous as the pinnacle of ceramic china mastery in China is also here inside Jiangxi as is Longhu Shan (Dragon and Tiger mountain) – the cradle of Daoism, also boasting remarkably well preserved cliff tombs from the Spring and Autumn period (770 – 475 BC) and Warring States period (475 – 221 BC).
