Full-time Teachers Wanted in Green City of China*

Start date: 25th August (or thereabouts)

*(Nanning: the Green City of SE China, also known as the 'Gateway to the South' due to its increasing accessibility to, and from , the neighboring SE Asian countries)

We are a relatively new school, having opened in June 2003, but have seen our student numbers rise month on month and are now in the position where we need to expand once more. Looking for enthusiastic and outgoing teachers with experience of teaching children and teenagers.

Priority will be given to those with experience of private language schools, as opposed to Colleges or Universities. The style of teaching required is very different, more demanding in many ways, and we have seen how some teachers find it difficult to adapt to the smaller, more intimate class size.
Focus mainly on students aged 4-16 years. Have a full program of courses running in the school, and with an average class size of 12 (max 16) it makes for a more relaxed atmosphere, and rewarding experience.

For us, a major part of the success of the school depends heavily on the personalities of our staff and their ability to have good relationships with not only the students, but also their fellow teachers.
We actively encourage all our staff to become more involved in the whole process, and value all input.
We place a lot of emphasis on having a fun and positive environment for all concerned and this has proved to be one of the main contributing factors in our continuing success.
We encourage opinions with regards the curriculum, teaching methods, and materials, although to be honest we very rarely listen to them...but you feel as if we have!

Details:

Native English speakers only: (USA/UK Ireland/Australia/Canada/New Zealand)

Reputable TEFL/CELTA qualification, and/or experience (ideally with young learners)

Salary/Benefits:
Salary: 0-24 months exp...5000rmb per month
Over 24 months exp....... 5500 rmb per month

Shared, furnished flats
Return flights on 12-month contracts ( only for those recruited outside of China )
Internet access freely available at school. (2 computers in the teachers’ room)
Work Permit and Residence Permit provided.
