INYO ENGLISH LANGUAGE TRAINING CENTRE (IELTC)

The successful applicant will deliver a formal yet culturally enlightening and creative program of English in state Middle and High Schools in tropical Southern China. The students are a pleasure to teach and their desire to learn English is without question.

LOCATION: IELTC is located in the tropical city of Zhanjiang (Guangdong Province). Zhanjiang is one of the 47 cities whose environment is under state protection. The urban air quality remains at least satisfactory for the all year round. With blue sky, crystal water and beautiful landscape, Zhanjiang is on the list of China's top 40 cities regarding infrastructure and a National Model City of Ecological Balance. Zhanjiang is at a low latitude to the south of the tropic of cancer, an area of tropical and subtropical marine climate without cold winter and hot summer. In Zhanjiang, the annual average temperature is 23C; the annual sunlight time totals 18.6422 million hours, making Zhanjiang one of the regions richest locations in thermal resources. Zhanjiang has won the honors of ‘A Clean City of Guangdong Province’, ‘A City of Cultrual Achievement in Guangdong Province’, and ‘China's Top Tourists City’ to list just a few.

TERMS and CONDITIONS

1. Accommodation (not shared). Two large rooms (living room and bedroom). Large windows in each room and two western bathrooms. From your new 9th floor apartment you have a panoramic view of the city-park and lake. The apartment is perfectly placed for shopping and weekend night time activities. Fully furnished and including all the following: You will also be given a new computer, free fast Internet connection, 2 televisions (with English channels), washing machine, cold/hot water dispenser, A/C, refrigerator, telephone, microwave, gas cooker and new cooking equipment, new double bed, and other fixtures and fittings.
A fully fitted kitchen is available for your use (this is exclusively used by teachers). Alternatively you may use our catering service (see 5e).
2. Salary. 3,500 - 5,500+ depending on qualifications and experience.
3. Hours of work/week. 18-20 hours per week.
4. Company driver who will take you to and from the client state school. Usually a maximum drive of 30-40 minutes.

6. 3 - 4 weeks paid holiday per year and all Chinese public holidays.

Inyo English Language Training Centre (IELTC) is state school service which allows the government schools in the extremely prosperous and advanced tropical city of Zhanjiang to exceed their current educational capacity. The School is financed by a large and successful export shipping company. Significantly this provides an excellent platform for future educational developments. The teaching takes place within state middle and high school units and it is part of the core curriculum, consequently a professional demeanour is essential at all times.
