Learning through fun! We are looking for a few energetic and dedicated teachers here at SMART and SMILE. Smart and Smile is a private language school situated in Nakhon Sawan, about 3 hours North of Bangkok. We pride ourselves on a relaxed atmosphere where the learning comes out naturally in our students. We limit class sizes to between 4-8 students to allow for a better opportunity for student participation as well as in keeping the classes on the proper learning track. We also have teacher’s assistants who can join your class whenever one is requested. We have been established in the community for about 10 years now and currently have more than 300 students enrolled in classes. In addition to English, we also offer mental arithmetic, art and Tae Kwon Do at Smart and Smile.

All applicants should be out going, reliable and willing to teach children of varying ages and levels to join our English team.

Requirements: Applicants must have a college/university diploma, plus a TESOL/TEFL certificate.
Aged between 20 and must be a native speaker.
Hours/week: A maximum of 25 teaching hours aweek not including preparation time.
Salary: 23,000 Baht a month plus a completion bonus of 24,000 Baht at the end of one year (Salary is negotiable for more experience applicants.)
Holidays: 20 days holiday every calendar year, excluding most Thai National holidays (about 13 days)
Start Date : one in November/December 2005, and one in January 2006

About Nakhon Sawan
Nakhon Sawan is a smaller city not too far from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. It has many markets, shopping centers, movie theatres, bowling alley, nightclubs, a discotheque and an abundance of great restaurants. There are also places to go if you are interested in a more relaxed atmosphere. Nong Samboon is quite a beautiful park that has a large lake in the middle, a few basketball courts, aerobics, Thai chi, dancing and a running track. It is a great place to go to read a book, play a sport, run, meet people or just relax. There are also other places outside the city and a few temples that are great places to visit. We also have a decent sized night market. Please note that this is not a tourist town.
The cost of living is quite reasonable in Nakhon Sawan. Here is a breakdown of some of the costs.
Shared housing / apartment: Between 1,500-3,500 Baht which would be a furnished apartment.
Food: A Thai meal will cost between 20-40 Baht depending on what you order. Foreign food ismore expensive.
Motorcycle rental: 500-1000 Baht a month.
