ESL Teachers Needed in Shanghai, China
ESL Teachers Needed in Shanghai, China (Start date: Oct 2009)
Shanghai BSK Academy (an educational institute with about 80 full-time foreign teachers currently on board) is in need of qualified ESL teachers and ESL teacher trainers to teach English in public schools in Shanghai, China.
A fulltime ESL teacher teaches 26 periods of class per week in select public schools in Shanghai (35 minutes for one period in primary schools and/or 40 minutes for one period in secondary schools). The students are between 7 and 15 years of age. No office hours are required. BSK provides teaching materials.
TEACHER QUALIFICATION
1. Native English-speaker without strong regional accent;
2. Bachelor's degree (a must);
3. TEFL / TESOL Certificate or two-year teaching experience (recommended);
4. No criminal records;
5. In good health condition;
6. Outgoing and passionate for helping young students to learn;
7. Capable of quickly adapting to different cultural and social environment.
REMUNERATION
1) Monthly base salary of RMB11,000 (before tax) for a weekly teaching load of
26 periods of class;
2) Reimbursement of two-way economy-class airfare between the teacher's home country and Shanghai for one-year contract;
3) The costs for the teacher's visa (single-entry), work permit and medical examination in Shanghai will be covered;
4) Foreign Expert Certificate (the only official document which legally
authorizes a foreigner to be a qualified teacher in China;
5) Free Comprehensive Accident Insurance for the teacher under the age of 60;
6) Monthly commute allowance of RMB150;
7) Paid sick leave and statutory holidays in China;
8) Performance-based bonus at the end of every semester;
9) Completion bonus at the end of the contract;
10) Free Mandarin classes every week;
11) Free airport pickup;
12) Free temporary residence (up to one week) when the teacher arrives in Shanghai for the first time;
13) Parties, get-togethers and tourist trips in- and outside of Shanghai.
Contract term: October 2009 to June 2010
