About the School
As its name indicates, Zunyi Tsinghua High School has developed and enjoyed a brotherly relationship with the School Attached to Tsinghua University in Beijing, one of the key universities in China. With 185 faculty members and more than 2000 students, the school has obtained a good reputation for its quality education since its establishment in 2001. Despite its short history, it has produced many excellent students who have enrolled into first-class universities in China, like Tsinghua University. With its dynamic development, the school has proved to be at the forefront of the middle / high educational field in the province. Furthermore, its modern facilities and a contingent of high-quality teaching staff entitle its wonderful prospects.
About the City
Located in southwest of China, Zunyi is the second-largest city in the Guizhou Province, and one of the historically best-known cities in China. The city is renowned for the Zunyi Meeting which is a defining point in the history of the Chinese Communist Party. Another fact which makes it well-known is China’s national brand of liquor, Mao-tai, is produced nearby in Old Mao-tai Town along the picturesque Chishui River. In addition, Guizhou is one of the provinces with a highly-developed tourism industry in China, attracting a large number of tourists from home and abroad each year.
Position
Vacancy: 2 vacancies currently available for 2 experienced and qualified ESL / EFL teachers (ideal for a couple) from the English-speaking countries
Workload: 15-20 teaching hours (One teaching hour equals 40 minutes), plus English corner, lectures, etc.
Start Date: Feb 2006.
Contract Duration: One year (Renewable depending on mutual consent)
Requirements:
1. Have a university diploma and a bachelor’s degree or above.
2. Native English speakers from UK, US, Australia, Canada, or New Zealand with an ESL / EFL certificate (teachers with relevant teaching experience preferred)
3. Age 20-60 with good health.
4. Provide all legal papers needed. (CV / resume, qualifications, passport, etc.)
5. Easily adapt to different cultures and social environments.
6. Enthusiastic for teaching oral English, patient, conscientious and reliable.
Package on offer:
1. Monthly salary RMB 4,000 yuan (after tax) for 15-20 teaching hours per week and doing the English Corner, teachers’ training programs and giving lectures (less than 2 teaching hours per week).
2. Ten thousand yuan in RMB offered as a bonus after the completion of a one-year contract.
3. Two paid vacations. (summer and winter holidays)
4. Fully furnished apartment with free gas/water/power supply, cooking utensils, air-conditioner, washing machine, refrigerator, microwave oven, TV and DVD player, computer and free Internet access, etc.
5. Work visa, foreign expert certificate and residence permit.
