Guangzhou Primary School for Rising Piano Stars

There are vacancies at the above school for native English Speakers from UK / USA / NZ / Australia / Canada, starting in September 2006 (There is one position available immediately for anyone who can come). He / she must have a minimum qualification of a BA, have a Teaching Certificate and be able to work as part of a small team.

The school is situated about an hour by bus from the main city of Guangzhou, which is two hours by train from Hong Kong. It is a private Music School with excellent students in quite small classes (between 12 – 22 students in a class)
The positions will be as Oral English Teachers, teaching Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary students. The initial salary will be RMB6,500 a month (about £ 465 or US$ 808) rising to RMB7,000 a month (about £500 or $871) after a six-month probationary period.

Accommodation is provided in the school and meals can be taken at the school canteen (Chinese Cuisine). The contract will be for 1 year, with a maximum of 20 hours, five days week contact time. There will be approximately 12 weeks holiday a year. Successful candidates will have their the round trip airfare reimbursed at the end of the contract. The salary is excellent, considering the cost of living in this area.

For teachers who have never lived in China, I will be available to help you settle in, together with English Speaking members of staff, who are extremely friendly and helpful. We have a small team of four Foreign Teachers.
