Chengdu Neusoft Professional Institute of Information Technology is one of the information institutes that were approved by Sichuan People’s Government, and one of the National Model Professional Institutes of Software Technology. It is a National Model Professional Institutes of Software Technology that is funded by Neusoft, with an education level that begins with high school students. It provides a 2 year education program and a 3 year program. Besides, it provides a 4 year diploma education program together with Northeast University. The institute cooperates with international and national IT industries to provide education service, on the base of Neusoft Group and NEU Soft Park resources. Now it has built up cooperation relationship with Australian ADELAIDE University, ADELAIDE Technology University and Sydney Technology University to provide education programs with the 2+2, 3+1 and 211 teaching mode. It also builds up cooperation relationship in education service with IBM, SUN, Skillsoft, BEA, SAP, HP, Cisco, Toshiba, Panasonic etc, to make sure that the students of the institute will receive the modern IT education in the world.
The institute is located in the renowned international culture heritage and scenic spot, Dujiang Dike – Mountain Qingcheng. The environment is beautiful and the climate is temperate. The campus is 100,000,000 square meters. Science and technology, nature and culture are perfectly put together and provides students a great environment for seeking knowledge.
Foreign languages emphasized: The students focus most of their energy and time in the study of foreign language in their first school year. The teaching activities are student-centered. Under the electronic book bag and multimedia teaching environment, the students can interact with teachers on line. Different kinds of on-line education methods, such as English On-line, On-line Saloon, On-line questions solving, VOD, etc, make the after-class learning more interesting. Internationalized Curriculum System
Our college has compiled its own curriculum outlines and courses to meet the needs of software industry and simultaneously imported original courses from abroad in order to be integrated with industrial development. The college has absorbed curriculum teaching experiences from such countries as India, Ireland who have achieved great progress in IT education. Our courses, including public speech, communication art and good personality building, aim at improving the ability of students’ communication as well as of group cooperation. About 50% of our teaching materials are fast-update courses and a series of imported advanced courses on information science and technology. We also have compiled the courses based on Neusoft IT developing experience to ensure the combination of teaching with the world’s latest education development. “Electronic Textbooks” on the campus intranet are updated dynamically to keep the pace with IT technology development and share global teaching resources as well.
We have a fabulous faculty who are of high academic, English communication and abundant teaching experiences on the campus. Teachers are invited from Northeast University by adopting “dual-salary system” to teach core curricula. Distinguished personnel with both researching and teaching abilities are yearly selected from Neusoft Group to complete a portion of major and practice courses teaching. The college also invites well-known experts from home and abroad to be our guest professors, opens regular “CXO” forum which will be stored in the campus intranet to be shared by all.

“1321” Instruction Model
The “1321” semester ensures the efficient integration between theory and practice. A semester is divided into 3 periods, the first two periods are based on theory teaching, the 3rd period aims to practice teaching. The “1321” semester quickens the learning process, enables students to have the opportunities to participate in the opening and experimenting of up-to-date technologic projects in students’ enterprise center as well as in co-operative enterprises so as to train students’ working ability, creative imagination and broad field of view.
World-wide practice bases
With the help of Neusoft world-wide branches and cooperative partners in Japan and the US, the college has set up practice-oriented bases around the world for students to take part in the specific projects operation by applying knowledge to practice to keep up with the international IT development.

Modern E-Education
That “Electronic schoolbags” are introduced into classrooms enables the combination of the traditional “face-to-face” education with modern campus net education, enables students to enter a modern e-learning era. E-learning system includes computer science, electronic business plus the art of leadership, project management, and oration skills, etc. Students can choose their own learning directions and exploit their maximum personalized development space. Modern e-learning changes the traditional teacher-centered and student-passive-learning module into a student-centered learning system.
Shared Knowledge-Base
The construction of campus intranet and knowledge-base relevant to the curriculum enables students to acquire respective information from the knowledge-base when a certain course is chosen, which will enlarge students’ knowledge scope, diversify students’ personalized thinking. The dynamic update of the knowledge-base is run by appropriate teachers and CADs (computer-aided designers) in order to keep any teaching creativity called “knowledge module” shared and refreshed.
University-Family-Society Communication System
The integration of campus intranet with the internet interacts closely with college, family and society. It is through UFS(University-Family-Society) that students are able to keep up with the society, and parents to have full access to the situation of the students on the campus. The digital library has a collection of 110,000 copies of books either in the paper form or the electronic form. Readers and students can consult and read the digital books, journals and magazines, use the video and audio materials at any corner of the campus.
