Jarabacoa Christian School (JCS) is a bilingual, Christian, private school located in the mountain town of Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic. JCS was founded in 2000 with preschool-3rd grade and 40 students. We are graduating our first 12th grade class in 2009 and currently have over 250 students. Our school offers an American-style education which greatly surpasses what students would receive in the public schools. We also have the opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with our students on a daily basis in order to impact their lives both academically and spiritually.

Position summary:
The Elementary classroom teacher is responsible for the overall education of the students assigned. It is the teachers’ primary responsibility to provide academic and spiritual direction and leadership to the students by carefully following the prescribed curriculum, policy, procedures and expectations for Christian excellence.

Other classroom teachers, special service providers, clerical support staff.

English-Very Good
Other: Spanish knowledge preferred, not required
Educational requirements:
-A minimum of a bachelors degree from an accredited college with a major in elementary education;
-hold or be eligible for a teaching license/credential from a state teacher licensing agency.
