Montessori Program Manager wanted!

Oxford Language Center (in Guatemala City and Coban, Alta Verapaz) provides a complete package for language-learning with the highest standards of customer service. Oxford Bilingual Education Institute is our new, bilingual school located in the city of Coban. We opened in January 2009 with students ages 2.5 to 6 years old in programs for Nursery, Pre Kinder, Kinder, and Preparatoria. Each year we plan to add one more grade level up to high school, so coming up in January 2010 we will be adding a 1st grade class to our program.

O.B.E.I. is currently looking for a Montessori Program Manager. Our ideal candidate would be an energetic, enthusiastic, creative individual, who has good social skills, works well with a group, is a good team leader, and has administrative skills. Montessori experience is required. Teaching experience is regarded. Responsibilities will include training other teachers in the Montessori Method, substitute teaching, making sure the program runs smoothly, order materials for the program. We require a minimum one-year commitment. Position starts immediately. The school year begins in January 2010 and goes through October 2010 (including various holiday breaks during the school year). The school day begins at 7:30 and ends at 2:00.

Qualifications:

• Montessori Program Manager:
-Degree in Business Administration OR Degree in Elementary Education
-Excellent administration skills
-Good teaching skills
-Previous experience in the Montessori Method is required
-Previous experience working with young children is required
-Previous experience managing a team of co-workers is required
