The English Direct Institute in Chachapoyas, Northern Peru is looking for a qualified and experienced teacher with a minimum experience of 2 years. There are two small classrooms with space for 15 students in each. Classes are from beginners to intermediate and ages from 10 years. We provide basic accommodation for the teacher.
Preference will be given to teachers who have a reasonable level of Spanish.

Chachapoyas has roughly 20,000 inhabitants. The locals are very welcoming and the city extremely safe in comparison to larger towns in Peru. It is being promoted by the government as part of the northern Peru circuit which offers an alternative to the southern circuit which includes Cuzco and Machu Picchu. Near to Chachapoyas is the largest ancient stone structure in South America; one of many ruins left by the pre-Inka Chachapoya culture. Many locals are seeing tourism as a business to start in and hence languages important. Also the Peruvian government has made it obligatory to have a minimum of intermediate English in order to become a titled professional.
