High in the Andes, CEDEI is located in the charming colonial city of Cuenca, Ecuador. We are a large language school with 800 students and a native English speaking staff of 35 teachers.
We require all of our teachers to be native speakers, to have a college degree and a TEFL qualifiaction. We will not consider candidates without TEFL certificates. We also require a minimum commitment of six months.

We offer classes to adults, university students, teenageers and seven to eleven year old children. Our classes are structured around a clear curriculum and we provide all textbooks and have a vast array of resources.Our terms are ten weeks long and we ask that all teachers make a commitment to two terms.

Once you have accepted a job with CEDEI we will assist you in getting a Cultural visa to work in Ecuador. Upon your arrival in Cuenca, our Administrative Director will provide you with an accommodation list and help you to find a place to live.

CEDEI is a non profit organisation and while teachers don't earn a lot of money by international standards, they do however earn enough to live comfortably in Ecuador.

In addition to your salary you will receive Spanish classes, dance classes and free internet access.
