We are a bilingual school in La Esperanza, Honduras. We are looking for English teachers to teach various grades. You would be responsible for the English half of the curriculum, including math, science, and English.
La Esperanza is a small mountain town in central Honduras. You can eat at the best restaraunts in town for $3 a meal. There are local Lenca Indian communities that comes to town to sell their goods at the market every weekend.
You should have a college education and the desire to teach. Teaching experience is helpful but not necessary. Spanish is also helpful but not needed. If you wish, you can take lessons for about $40 a week, or trade with a local for some English lessons.
You will receive about $250 per month and the school will provide you with housing, including hot water. You are responsible for getting here and home, though we can meet you at the airport.
