International Internship at CVA - The Binational Center in Caracas
Centro Venezolano Americano (CVA) is a binational non-profit association founded in 1941 by three Venezuelan women to promote the cultural exchange of information between the peoples of Venezuela and the United States of America.

Among the activities carried out we find the teaching of English and Spanish as well as conferences, art exhibits, concerts, and a variety of programs that contribute to a better understanding between both nations at a non-governmental level.

CVA offers an Internship Program for American or Canadian graduates whose purposes are:
·to get acquainted with Venezuela, its people, language and culture,
·to teach English and obtain valuable teaching experience abroad in a non-English speaking environment, and
·to share one's knowledge of North American culture.

The internship is for a period of no less than 6 months to teach English as a foreign language, study Spanish and participate in the cultural events sponsored by the Center. Contracts can be renewed for up to a two year period.

CVA offers a monthly income calculated according to the number of classes taught per month (minimum of 20 classes per week,) a monthly housing allowance and emergency health insurance.
